For the next instalment in our guest mix series we bring you a mix from DJ Mr Lob. We’ve been big fans of Mr Lob for a long time now. From Melbourne, Australia and with 17 years of professional DJing under his belt Mr Lob has a record collection to die for. Whether it’s funk, soul, jazz, reggae, latin or afro sounds he always delivers. A prolific Mixcloud contributor he uploads new mix tapes on a weekly basis.
Mr Lob first got into DJing through throwing launch parties for his clothing label and after buying a cheap crate of Hip Hop 12’s his destiny was truly set.
For this mix DJ Mr Lob has pulled together a set of “raw funk 45’s, with a mix of new and old obscure and underground tracks, as well as a bunch of Aussie groups“. And it sure is funky.
So grab your headphones, your favourite tipple and sit back, relax and enjoy one hour of funky flavours courtesy of DJ Mr Lob!
