If there is anyone out there that has even a passing interest in funk and soul music who isn’t aware of this movie I’d be amazed.
However, for anyone in the dark this powerful and moving movie follows Sharon Jones as she prepares to release her new album. Sharon faces the biggest challenge of her life as she battles pancreatic cancer while trying to hold her band The Dap-Kings together.
