Next up in our Guest DJ Series we present DJ duo, Mr Tall & Mr Small.
Mr Tall & Mr Small met 10 years ago, Mr Tall was already spinning records in the 33rpm format and was spinning funk and breaks for the BBoys under the moniker DJ Funny.
Once Mr Small and Mr Tall met, Mr Small was inspired are started collecting 45’s. Hence their DJ names: Mr Tall (33rpm’s) & Mr Small (45rpm’s). Not much later, Mr Tall also started collecting 45’s.
In the beginning they played funk 45’s at “before & after” gigs with artists like Pee Wee Ellis, Lefties Soul Connection, Fred Wesley, New Mastersounds, Baby Charles, and The Excitements. They have also shared the decks with legendary DJ’s Keb Darge and Jazzman Gerald.
Nowadays Mr Tall & Mr Small collect and spin popcorn, rhythm & blues, instrumentals, tittyshakers, rock’n’roll & rockabilly.
