Sharon Jones and The Dapkings Announce Final Studio Album

Daptone Records announced last week that they will be releasing one final album by Sharon Jones and The Dap-kings. The singer who lost her fight with pancreatic cancer last November was arguably the worlds favourite soul singer.
It seems incredible that in the year before we lost her, Sharon had the time and energy to record an album of no less than eleven new tracks.
Described by Daptone Records: “Soul of a Woman is a lush, orchestral masterpiece. A true testament to the life and career of Daptone’s fearless leader and one of the world’s greatest performers.”
“Soul of a Woman” is due for release on November 17th and can be pre-ordered via the Daptone Records website.
