Dala Records have done it again with another outstanding release. Hot on the heels of releases from Camellia Hartman and Mel & Kim the Brooklyn-based label bring us the debut single from vocalist and songwriter Steve Garvin. On “Evelyne” you can hear something that sounds familiar. But maybe can’t quite put your finger on it and then you realise that it’s the influence of The Beatles that underpins this classic sounding tune.
If you are a fan of Dala Records then you will have heard Steve’s work before. As he has been on co-writing duties alongside label boss Billy Aukstik for many of the label’s artists, such as Camellia Hartman, The Hook Brothers and Mel & Kim.
