Australian Funk and Soul outfit Randa and The Soul Kingdom release the third single from their forthcoming album tomorrow (Thursday 22nd July).

The band released the first two singles, ‘2048‘ and ‘Put Your Hands Up‘ back in 2019. Both tracks showcasing that classic funk & soul sound that they have become well known for. ‘Gonna Get Love‘ sees the band expand their sound somewhat taking in some broader influences.

The new single ‘Gonna Get Love‘ is influenced by a raucous mix of Rock n Roll, Rhythm and Blues and Sixties Garage. It’s an uplifting song, about new found love and the excitement of a new relationship.

I wrote it before Covid but it seems like now is the time when we need to hear songs which can make us feel like we’re transported out of lockdowns and we’ve got our own primal mojo working again! One of my biggest influences is Ike & Tina Turner, I just love the driving blues and rock’n’roll aspects of their soulful songs. I wanted this song to be inspired by that. – Randa Khamis
