Gloria Scott Signs to Acid Jazz

Veteran soul singer Gloria Scott has signed to the UK’s Acid Jazz Records.
The singer who was discovered by Sly Stone, went on to become a backing singer for Tina Turner as a member of The Ikettes and worked with Barry White.
Gloria’s debut release for Acid Jazz is a cover of the Gospel-House tune ‘Promised Land’. The original written and recorded by Joe Smooth and released in 1987, is an all time classic. Gloria’s version is pure soul, it still has a driving 4/4 house beat coupled with her amazing vocal and a fantastic arrangement. This will go down well in Soulful House and Soul sets alike. A great version, breathing new life into an old classic!
