Choi Records is a small record label, setup in 2015 and run by Ivan Khatchoyan. The name may sound familiar as Ivan is the drummer with Cookin on 3 Burners and Mayfield.

A majority of the output on the label is by Ivan’s studio band The Traffic. The band features some of the very best local musicians including the likes of Yuri Pavlinov (The Bamboos). Ivan arranges, records, mixes and produces all of the releases

The Traffic specialise in doing instrumental funk covers of well known tracks and this mix includes many of them. From covering Tupac and Dr Dre, Daft Punk, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson and Skrillex to name just a few. This mix also includes their first original composition (No Through Road) and their first original vocal track (Chasin Feels). Which features the wonderful Thando who has shot to fame recently thanks to a certain tv show!

Word on the street is that there will be a new 45 from The Traffic in the coming months but in the meantime get your ears around our 13 track synopsis of the labels output so far.
