Mixcloud – What’s happening?

As many of you will probably know, as of 1December 2022 Mixcloud are making changes to the way the platform works.

Previosuly, there were no limits to how many shows that could be hosted on Mixcloud. But they are now introducing a paid subscription which allows unlimited uploads. They are still offering the free account and the one that we will be continuning with but there are limits. The free account allows only a maximium of 10 uploads.

How Do The Changes Affect Music For Modern Living?

Music For Modern Living is a hobby, I make no money from it. In fact it runs at a loss. I do it for the love and passion for the music. I particuarly like supporting and promoting new and contemporary soul and funk artists. Therefore, I can’t afford or justify the $15 a month subscription fee that Mixcloud are now requiring for unlimited uploads.

How will the Music For Modern Living Mixcloud page be managed?

From now on.

• All archived Radio Shows have been made unavailable

• New Radio Shows will be available for listening for 3 months

• Each month we will showcase a Radio Show from our archive

• Each month we will showcase two Guest Mixes from our archive

• Each month we will showcase four Label or Artist Mix from our achive
