Totally Wired Radio Closing Down

Totally Wired RadioTotally Wired Radio, the radio station setup and run by Eddie Pillier and Acid Jazz Records is set to close down at the end of the year.

Over the last three years the station has hosted some of the very best DJ’s from around the world covering a broad cross-section of music including Soul, Funk, R&B, Boogaloo, Jazz, Punk, Hiphop, Disco, House and more.

When the station started out in April 2019 it was sponsored by the legendry clothing label Fred Perry. But as Covid kicked in TWR lost this sponsorhip. They have soldered on trying to raise enoigh money through their ‘Friends of TWR‘ program . Which enables listeners and supporters to help financially support the running of the station. But unfortunatley the time has come to close down. The station wrote to listeners in a recent newsletter saying:

It’s with great sadness that we announce that, in the current economic situation, we are having to close day-to-day broadcasting from our radio station Totally Wired Radio at the end of the year.
We’re incredibly proud of everything that the radio team and DJs have achieved over the past three-and-a-half years, and hope this is only a hiatus, not the end of the story…

The closing down of TWR along with the recent shutdown of Worldwide FM is a massive blow to the music world. Live programming will continue through Christmas until New Years Eve. Check out the program schedule and you can listen to all archived shows on the TWR Mixcloud page.

    Hi!
This is the biggest cut in music vibrations for my ears in my lifetime!
There is only hope in my music soul that it’s being picked up again in time.
The fact that it was without news/advertising made this chanel so chill and musical!

Respect for all the people involved in this beautiful music project!

    Please come back:(!!!!!!!
