Totally Wired Radio, the independent London-based radio station run by Eddie Piller and Acid Jazz Records is set to return to the airwaves.

Towards the end of 2022 TWR announced it was closing down, citing increasing costs as the primary reason for the decision. After opening the station in April 2019 and with COVID taking hold they lost the sponsorhip deal they had with fashion label Fred Perry. But they soldered on, and managed to broadcast for three and a half years. Programming what was arguably one of the finest selections of shows from around the world. Covering a broad cross-section of music including Soul, Funk, R&B, Boogaloo, Jazz, Punk, Hiphop, Disco, House and more.

The good news is that Totally Wired Radio have announced they will be returning to the airwaves on 6 April 2023. In a recent newsletter they made the announcement:

Thanks to the continuing support of the Friends of TWR & all the DJs we are excited to announce that Totally Wired Radio will be back ON AIR from Thursday 6th April 2023! To assist with the return we have opted for a cheaper Webcast PPL Licence, reducing the quarterly broadcast fees, and also by reducing streaming, hosting and staff costs (initially).

If you would like to support TWR with a one off donation or by subscribing as a friend of TWR to ensure the station stays on air then visit the Support page on the TWR Website.
