The James Brown Movie, ‘Get On Up’ was released in Australia today and to celebrate Music for Modern Living brings you ‘On The Good Foot’. A Mix featuring 21 of the very best James Brown tracks.
JB doesn’t sing on all of these tracks but had something to do with each – he either sung, produced or wrote each song. From JB classics such as Cold Sweat, Get on The Good Foot and There Was a Time to collaborations with soul sisters like Marva Whitney, Lyn Collins and Myra Barnes. His soul brothers are in there too; Hank Ballard, Otis Reddding, Bobby Byrd and Leon Austin.
