Following on from the success of of ‘Latin Dynamite / El Basement’. The Kevin Fingier Collective are back with new single ‘September‘ and the Argentinian producer has a new talent in tow: Jo Ann Hamilton.
You’d be forgiven for thinking this 45 was some long lost forgotten gem from the sixties. ‘September‘ has a very strong Northern Soul feel to it reminiscent of the hey days of soul. Then flip it over and you discover ‘I Love Without Love‘ a killer R&B track. An absolutely amazing double sider and well worth every penny.
‘September / I Love Without Love‘ has received high praise from many of the top DJ’s and taste makers in the scene. DJ and Radio Broadcaster Richard Searling said:
Both tracks are excellent. Anything you see from this label with Kevin Fingier via the UK-based Acid Jazz Group comes highly recommended from myself
Jo Ann Hamilton, from Georgia – USA, was born and raised around Soul and R&B music, Motown Records was the soundtrack of her childhood. Inspired by Diana Ross & The Supremes, she started to sing at the age of 7 and became part of the Gospel Choir from the ‘Melton Chappel’ church. In the mid 70s Mrs Hamilton became part of the Disco scene and almost 50 years later, the universe joined her and Kevin Fingier in Buenos Aires, Argentina to create this amazing piece of vinyl.
Released on 23 April 2021 on Acid Jazz Records. Preorder here.
