The Bamboos – Keep Me In Mind (Jimmy DoGood Remix)

Originally released in 2010 on their album ‘4’. Keep Me In Mind by The Bamboos has recieved the remix treatment by 15 year old Scottish DJ/Producer Jimmy DoGood.
The intro doesn’t stray too far from the original. Retaining those instantly recogonsisable guitar stabs, funky drums and the epic Kylie Auldist vocals. Then a 4/4 house beat kicks in, with vocals layered on top. Before it cleverly drops back to the original drums and guitar stabs theme and then once again returning to a driving house beat.
I’m not often keen on house remixes of soul and funk tunes when the originals are as good as this. However this really works and showcases Kylie Auldist’s vocals throughout. Not bad for a 15 year old!
