Randa & The Soul Kingdom are well and truly back. Fresh from recently being nominated for a West Australian Music Award.

The Perth-based soul/funk outfit are just about to release “Put Your Hands Up“. The first single from their forthcoming third album due out in 2020.

It’s been a while since Randa Khamis has released any new music and we’re super excited to hear new material from one of Australia’s finest soul sisters. Randa’s not been resting on her laurels though. Constantly gigging around her native Perth and beyond as well as a rip-roaring performance for the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club at the Rosemount Hotel.

‘Put Your Hands Up‘ is right up our street and squarely aimed at the dancefloor. It kicks in with the funkiest of guitar licks, then come the horns. Randa urges us to ‘put your hands up’ and ‘shake it shake it’. And quite frankly who could resist the urge! This is a 100% party tune, reminiscent of classic 60’s soul with that modern twist that we love here at Music For Modern Living. This tune is a melting pot of everything we love about the old meets new sound of the contemporary soul scene.

The Single ‘Put Your Hands Up’ is due for release on 19th September. Preorders are open for the very limited edition 45 via Randa & The Soul Kingdom’s Bandcamp page. As Randa said in a recent video to announce the new 45 ‘Once they’re gone, they’re gone’. So make sure you get your orders in ASAP!
